After a two-year hiatus, Rocky Mountain WORCS ATV-MC returned to the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 30-May 1. The racing format ditched the typical two-hour endurance format for a 45-minute sprint-race format for the Pros.

The Oliveira brothers, Dante and Mateo, continued their dominance this year, as they landed on the top step of the 450 and 250 Pro-class podiums, respectively.

Collier Martinez won the Pro-Am class, and Brandy Richards topped the Women’s Pro division.

Saturday had quite the full day of racing, with the weekend being shared by both the motorcycles and the ATV/SXS participants. While most of the racing was held during the day, the motorcycle Pros raced under the lights with the Vegas skyline in the distance. This course was very narrow, not leaving any room to pass, making a good start even more crucial than usual.

Dante Oliveira, riding the Factory FMF KTM, pulled the holeshot and then set his own pace and stayed consistent for the entire race, holding off Tyler Lynn in the process. Oliveira led from start to finish for the victory.

Lynn put together a similar-type race over the rest of the competitors, allowing him to focus on his lap times and bring home second place aboard his Precision Concepts Racing Kawasaki.

Meanwhile, third place was quite the battle between factory Beta rider Dare Demartile and SLR Honda rider Cole Martinez. They battled to the finish with Demartile winning the fight for the last spot on the podium, taking the checkered flag a few seconds ahead of Martinez.

Austin Walton rounded out the top five just three seconds ahead of Giacomo Redondi.

The Pro 250 class had its fair share of drama and battles, as Mateo Oliveira looked to continue his perfect 2022 season in both WORCS and NGPC. Oliveira, on the FMF RPM KTM, fought with SLR Honda rider Jack Simpson the entire race. On the last lap, Simpson made a move on Oliveira for the lead and win, but Simpson was later DQ’d and Oliveira’s perfect win streak remained intact.

The fastest lap of the weekend went to Mateo Oliveira with a time of 1:44.158.

Colton Aeck (KTM) took second in the Pro 250 class with some breathing room over 3Bros. Kilmartin Racing’s Kai Aiello (Husqvarna).

In the Pro-Am race, Collier Martinez took the win for his SLR Honda team.

Brandy Richards (KTM) was second, but she did not come away empty handed. Earlier in the evening, she took top honors in the Women’s race over Mica Diaz. Yamaha rider Cody Walker was third in ProAm.
