Dads love watches and the Gunhild Vegvisir Adventure Dive Watch from Heimdalls Workshop is a luxury watch that features a cool Viking-inspired Vegvisir symbol on the antique brass watch face.

Gunhild? Heimdall? Vegvisir? Don’t worry, I wasn’t familiar with these terms either and I watched the entire Vikings series twice!  So briefly, Gunhild was a Danish Queen consort and wife to King Harald Bluetooth.  Heimdall is a Norse god who guards the Rainbow Bridge, watching for invaders and the onset of Ragnarok. And the Vegvisir is an ancient Icelandic symbol intended to help the bearer find their way through rough weather. According to my quick internet searching, the Vegvisir means, “if this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”

This watch also features an automatic Miyota 9015 Cal movement that winds itself as you wear it and the watch is made right here in the USA in North Carolina.

Remember Aftershokz, the bone conduction headphones folks?  In 2021, they simplified their name to Shokz and updated some of their product names while also improving their bone conduction tech.  If you’re not familiar with bone conduction, it transmits sound into your ears by passing it through the bones in your head, leaving your ears open.  This generally is more comfortable for most folks and also allows you to remain aware of your surroundings as your ears are open.  Because bone conduction requires no physical openings in the headset, they can even offer 100% waterproof headphones.  Cool, right?

If your father is an on-the-go kind of guy, he’d love one of the offerings from Shokz. Their water-resistant OpenMove everyday headphones and their sports-geared OpenRun and OpenRun Pro models are continually updated with their latest generation bone conduction technology.  If your pop is a swimmer, they have him covered with their OpenSwim bone conduction headphones that are completely waterproof and offer internal MP3 storage. If dad uses his cell phone for business calls, you’re in luck as they offer the OpenComm bone conduction Bluetooth headphones with a boom microphone that will allow him the freedom to move about wirelessly and make crystal-clear business calls for up to 16 hours.  Interested?  Check them out at shokz.com or at their store on Amazon.

Does your dad have problems with allergies or does he live in an area where the air isn’t as clean as he would like? According to Julian (read his full review linked below):

The Molekule Air Purifier is in my opinion, the best air purifier that I have ever tried. I have spent hundreds of dollars on air purifiers with Hepa filters, and on many other devices that turned out to be just gimmicks. While some of them helped my allergies, they ultimately failed to do so well enough that I felt satisfied. This air purifier has given me such relief when I am at home, that no one would even know that I suffer from chronic allergies. This has been the same result for my kids who have suffered from chronic allergies, and asthma as a result of the allergies. While the Molekule is much more expensive than any other air purifier that I have owned, it stands alone at the top of its class.

I don’t know a single dad who doesn’t like listening to music. I also don’t know a single family who has matching musical tastes. This Father’s day you can give your dad the gift of next-level earbud technology while offering the rest of the family a break from “dad music” with the Elite 7 Pro earbuds by Jabra. These earbuds automatically adjust to your unique hearing profile to give you the best sound, and they are also great for taking calls when you’re out and about. There are four microphones in each earbud, and sensors activate when it’s windy to use bone conduction technology to transmit your voice using vibrations in your jawbone. Combine that with ANC and their “hear through technology” that lets background noise through when you want it, and these little buds could become your dad’s second best companion (after mom of course).

Price: $161-$199 Where to buy: Best Buy, Jabra, Amazon
