Doubles as blush and highlights

Create a subtle shimmer effect

Need more work to combat darker skin tone

Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush Blush is an amazing unconscious two-in-one product. The blush is twice as exquisite as a highlighter, and the shiny finish creates a subtle reflective luster that will fascinate you.

After receiving free samples from the brand, we tested the Benefit Gold Rush blush. Read on for our full product review.

If you are like me, it's time to be more picky about the makeup on your face in the hot summer. Sometimes it is too hot, so now I choose light makeup and only choose light products that can enhance skin radiance.

I like the classic bronzer glow, but these days I have been looking for a more peachy look-this is where the blush comes into play. Beautiful blushes always make me look young, fresh and sunny, as if I had just come from Saint-Tropez. However, although blush can indeed raise the gloss of redness to a new level, just like any cosmetics, there is always room for improvement.

To help me create a minimalist summer makeup look, I have been looking for a two-in-one blush. A blush that doubles as a highlighter is ideal because the less product I need to use on my face, the more I can maintain my daily work in high temperatures. I have tried some blushes, but none of them gave me the results I have been looking for. So when my editor asked me to try Benefit Gold Rush Blush, I was very excited. Does this product create the luxurious and summery makeup I am looking for? Read further for all the details in my full review.

Best for: All skin types, but the amount of product required may vary by skin tone.

Uses: A simple blush with shiny golden spots that can add sun-like brilliance to any makeup.

About the brand: Benefit Cosmetics started with a coin flip in 1976 (yes, you read that right). The founders Jean and Jane Ford tossed a coin when they decided to start their next business-the person in charge, they will open a coffee shop, and at the end, they will open a cosmetics company. Fortunately, the coin fell on the tail, and to this day, Benefit is still one of the most creative and popular beauty brands in the industry.

Recently, my skin has undergone some changes. Usually, my skin is relatively dry. In most cases, dry skin makes it difficult for me to find blush that does not fall off like a cake. I would prefer liquid blushes because I think they have the most natural and smooth surface. Now that my skin has changed from normal to oily, I am looking for the most effective formula.

Due to changes in my skin, I found myself wanting to try the powder blush again. I find that liquid blush tends to move on my face now, so I need a product that can stay in place even if my skin is a bit oily. The powdered blush seems most likely to stay in place and complement the natural moisture of my skin, so I am very happy to see the effect

To be honest, liquid blush and powder blush are not at the same wavelength. I am used to taking less is more for liquid blushes because they can be very pigmented (I like it). However, I learned that powder blush is not that dramatic. Most make you work for it.

I spin the brush several times into the rose gold plate of Benefit's Gold Rush Blush to get some color pay off. I would say that one advantage of this formula is that you have more control. You can easily add any number of products and accurately determine the number of products that best suits you. I am a blush connoisseur, so I apply a lot of blush on the top of my cheeks. At the same time, I apply the product to my cheekbone area to enhance the appearance. I found this to be very effective in shaping my face and adding highlight effects to the area.

I have always had a firm opinion on powder blush, but Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush Blush is a different experience. When I applied the product for the first time, it was surprising that it didn't have much effect. This factor is very common in powdered blushes, so the fact that it is not a problem is a good touch.

When I started applying blush, I realized that if I want the color to pop on my brown skin, I need to layer it. Delamination may be risky because it increases the possibility of clumping and shedding, but I believe the natural oils in my skin will not allow this to happen. When I layered the product on my skin, the color payoff became more obvious and the appearance was silky smooth.

The golden nectar hue of Benefit's Gold Rush Blush matched my skin tone. The rosy blush contains a lot of gold, which makes the highlighter and blush to achieve a perfect balance. I wear blush all day long and only need to reapply it once. The reapplication did not bother me and made me think it was reasonable how long the powder formula lasted. I would say that the glitter on the blush seems to move around my skin. This didn't bother me too much, but I can see that it might be a shutdown for some people. In general, this blush brings a gorgeous metallic texture to the skin, creating a sun-kissed makeup and adding radiance.

Benefit’s Gold Rush Blush standard 0.17 ounce is $30. Size, but there are also 0.08 ounces. The mini version is priced at $17. I think it’s important to offer different price points, so regardless of your budget or willingness to commit, it’s easier to try the product. If I were to buy this blush, I might buy the original size because it is a little bit more expensive, but for those who prioritize their budget, travel a lot or are unsure of how much it costs, the mini version is a good one choose. I like this result. It all depends on preference, really.

Nude loose powder blush in Retro Peach: This pink powder blush ($23) is the perfect match for the original Benefit Gold Rush Blush. This product creates a balance between shimmer and pigmentation, allowing your cheeks to achieve the ultimate blush. In addition, this formula is a very unique cream mineral powder that can create a natural makeup look. If you can’t decide between formula types, it may have the best of both worlds.

Soft Peach Cover FX Monochrome Blush Duo: This dynamic blush duo ($38) is suitable for any day. There are two shades that you can mix into your ideal makeup. On the right is a metallic peach blush similar to Benefit, while on the left is a matte option. If you want to keep your options open, this product is definitely worth it because it's easy to use shades together or individually to create several different looks.

Trying Benefit’s Gold Rush blush has changed my view of the blush formula. I am not a person who likes powders, but I can say that this product really complements my recent skin changes. You may need to work hard to get the color effect you want, but the result is worth it. The blush looks great for my skin tone, for my natural oils, and I like how the metallic look makes it double as a highlighter. This product can create a smooth, radiant makeup look, it is worth spending more time with it, making you more radiant than ever in a relaxing summer.
