It is very easy to make your own natural eyeshadow at home. Homemade cosmetics also allow you to experiment until you find the perfect shade, while avoiding some harmful ingredients that even products labeled "natural" may contain, such as parabens and talc.

For any of the formulas we have summarized below, you can add a pigment of your choice-cosmetic grade mica powder (available in a variety of matte and metallic colors) or natural pigments. Our favorite natural pigments include:

Place the beeswax lozenges and shea butter in a microwave-safe kettle or measuring cup (with nozzle). Heat in a microwave oven on low heat for 10 seconds, then stir. Continue to heat and stir in 10 second increments until the wax and butter are completely melted together. This will take about one minute.

Add glycerin, jojoba oil and vitamin E oil and mix well. Add the mica powder color of your choice and mix. Transfer to a small airtight container and let stand for 24 hours. Use fingers, brush or sponge tip applicator to apply.

Mix the bentonite and arrowroot powder together until they are completely combined. Add the natural color of your choice until you reach the shade you like.

Add a few drops of oil and mix. Continue to add oil until the mixture becomes soft and all the powder is absorbed. Store in a small airtight container. This mineral eye shadow can also be applied with fingers, brush or sponge tip applicator.

Mix arrowroot powder and paint in a small bowl. You can use separate paints or mix them together. Add a pinch of mica to increase gloss. Add more pigment or mica until you get the color and shimmer combination of your choice. Next, add shea butter and mix well.

Make sure to store the shiny eyeshadow in an airtight container. When ready to use, apply with makeup brush, finger or eye shadow applicator.

Put the cosmetic-grade mica powder into the small container used to store the eyeshadow. Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol until the powder is suspended in the alcohol.

Add a few drops of oil at a time until the consistency becomes smooth and creamy. Keep stirring until you notice that the mixture starts to separate.

Let the mixture sit for 20 minutes to allow time for the excess alcohol to rise to the top of the mixture. Use paper towels or cotton swabs to absorb any remaining alcohol.

Leave the eyeshadow exposed for 5 hours and let it dry. After setting, put the lid on the container.

Add cosmetic-grade mica powder to the small container you plan to store eyeshadow. Then, add the eye cream and stir with a toothpick.

This eyeshadow can be used immediately and its smooth consistency allows you to apply it easily with your fingers.
