You know the name, you may have skied powder snow, but Revelstoke (Revelstoke) is much more than you might find on a powder snow day.

First of all, Revelstoke is located in the unceded Sn̓ʕay̓čkstx tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (Sinixt), Secwepemcúl'ecw (Sepwecemc), Ktunaxa ɁamakɁʷ (Ktunaxa) and any country. In time, I strongly recommend that you take a moment to visit the Revelstoke Museum and Archives to learn about the aboriginal history of the area.

Although Revelstoke Mountain Resort has gained exponential popularity since its debut in 2007, and is known for having the "most skiable vertical" (1713 meters) in North America and record annual snowfall, Ray The history of skiing in Vulstock can be traced back more than 100 years and has a long history. The history of the local community.

The Revelstoke Ski Club built the first ski jump in Revelstoke Mountain National Park in 1915. The annual winter festival attracts famous athletes from all over the world, as well as local heroes, including Nels Nelsen and the first women's ski jumping world champion Isabel Coursier. Although ski jumping is now closed for high-speed maneuvers, Revelstoke has been a center of skiing ever since, including the longest ski club in Canada, and surrounded by some of the country’s first remote areas and helicopters ski facility

The town of Revelstoke is located in the valley between the Monash Mountains and the Selkirk Mountains, surrounded by the only inland temperate rain forest in the world. The region is sandwiched between the Coastal Mountains (Whistler) and the Rocky Mountains (Banff, Lake Louise), sharing a lot of precipitation from the storm system in the Southwest Pacific, as well as the added benefit of lower temperatures. Therefore, Revelstow Ke is in a perfect geographical and topographical position to receive tons of dry winter storms. Yes, this is a lot of facial photos.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is part of Mountain Collective Pass and Ikon Pass. RMR has been in operation for 14 years and is only a quick drive from downtown Revelstoke. On paper, RMR is a great holiday destination-a vertical height of 1,713 meters, a long cable car, two chairlifts, advanced and intermediate slides, and two areas suitable for beginners. In fact, it is one of the best ski resorts I have visited for powder snow and glade skiing. Throughout the winter, the snow has turned this place into a veritable playground of pillows, cliffs and steep trees.

Revelstoke is a bucket list destination for core skiers and snowboarders, which is why it is a stop on the Mountainwatch Canada Powder Tour in February/March 2022.

Don't delay because of the few lifts from the top of the Stoke chair (2225 meters), the options can be endless, which means you can ride the same lift all day without getting bored. There are four inbound alpine bowls at high places, and a quick hike can provide enough steep turns and slides to make you beautiful and wrinkled before taking a break. Alternatively, you can enter the cruise control system and receive a beautician. From the top of The Stoke Chair to the lower lift, you can use a variety of green, blue, and black trims, including Last Spike, a 15-kilometer-long green trim slope that extends from the top of the mountain to the foot of the mountain.

Long before the ski slopes spin, tracks can be found in remote areas around the town of Revelstoke. However, some of the most accessible remote areas are located on the side of the Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Quickly pass through the gates of remote areas in the north or south of the resort and embark on a journey of terrain exploration for several days. For the adventurous, there are many remote areas to explore, from sled skiing to a ski trip to Rogers Pass (Glacier National Park), or overnighting in a hotel in a remote area.

Some quick tips before departure:

Check out some classic RMR Backcountry lines on FATMAP.

If you go all out, Revelstoke has a wide range of mechanized ski and snowboard operations. From heli-skiing to cat skiing and my personal favorite helicopter tour. Operations include:

Accommodations in Revelstoke come in all shapes and sizes, from downtown motels, hotels, boutique hotels to comfortable bed and breakfasts in the woods surrounding the resort. The closest to the resort is the Sutton Place Hotel. The resort shuttle bus provides pick-up service between the resort and the city center from 6:15 in the morning to 11:30 in the evening, so if you don't have a car, you can easily travel to and from the resort.

Revelstoke has more and more food to choose from. My personal favorite is:

When your feet need to put on your ski boots and take a break, you might as well take a walk in the city center. You can spend the morning visiting the Railway Museum or the Revelstoke Museum. Enjoy lunch in town or drive to Begbie Brewery on the Trans-Canada Highway. If you want to stay active, you can also take a snowmobile tour in Boulder Mountain or, for adventure, book a paragliding course at the top of the RMR. I personally like to visit the Revelstoke Recreation Centre and use the hot tub and lazy river.
