2020 is an unprecedented year. Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective is a team of engineers, designers and craftsmen. It is located at the Rolls-Royce House in Goodwood, England. The unique vision of global customers becomes a reality. Creativity, craftsmanship and imagination. Almost every car produced in 2020 is tailor-made by this Bespoke department, which is a remarkable achievement considering the challenging and unforeseen headwind background.

"Bespoke Collective is taking it to the next level in 2020-they have done this in the context of many unprecedented restrictions and challenges, which makes their achievements even more impressive. We have never seen it in every commission before. This level of Bespoke details shows that Rolls-Royce customers all over the world are seeking the comfort of creativity-entrusting introspective luxury products that can withstand the test of time becomes a lasting and poignant legacy. I am proud to say , When our industry is plagued by widespread layoffs, we have been working hard to protect every job. The artistry of protecting our talented employees reflects a serious craftsmanship; a way of protecting the precious found in Rolls-Royce Skills and skills reserved for the future." Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

At the beginning of the pandemic, Rolls-Royce designers and customers found themselves confined to the safety of their homes. However, the unique and highly personal relationship between our Bespoke Collective and our customers has not changed. This has led to a change in the source of inspiration from travel and its associated luxury products to rich and textured environments, architecture and still moments in nature.

It is worth noting that Rolls-Royce's customization department set a new record in 2020. Faced with the challenges of this year, the client used Rolls-Royce's customized creative channels to seek comfort and invest time. This is a rediscovered product and commissioned the heritage to reflect precious items with historical and family significance in a reflective way. On average, custom commissions have grown strongly compared to 2019, and personalization elements have grown significantly, integrated into the fabric of each car, providing more substance and sensibility.

Below is a snapshot of some of the best examples of custom designs and craftsmanship completed by this mansion in 2020.

The'Dusk in Tokyo Collection' includes Phantom, Wraith, Dawn and Cullinan, celebrating the Japanese capital. A complex, multi-faceted white paint named after "Tokyo dusk" depicts the high-rise glass and concrete buildings of this coastal metropolis bathed in the warm light of dusk. Refractive paint containing aluminum and mica flakes creates subtle tones in low light.

The black leather interior, embellished with a rose gold custom audio grille and a rose gold case on the Phantom dashboard, depicts the long black shadows of the city’s tall buildings and the last glimmer of prosperity in the setting sun on the glass.

Leading the transition from day to night is the soul of ecstasy, presented in rose gold for the first time in Japan, representing the setting of the sun.

Phantom's sealed gallery makes it possible to integrate natural materials into cars in an unprecedented way. In 2020, the Mirage "Rainbow Wealth" has soared to new heights in this way.

In 2017, it was a truly customized artwork that debuted as a concept and created "Iridescent Wealth" in collaboration with Swiss material expert Nature Squared. The result was inspired by nature; a gallery with more than 3,000 sustainably sourced iridescent tail feathers, each of which has a different shape to highlight their luster and rich tones. These are hand-sewn on the perforated fabric, this design radiates from the glittering rainbow colors outwards

The mother-of-pearl shell is located in the center of the gallery around the clock. The interior is finished with custom-embroidered back waterfalls and silver inlays on the picnic table.

The interior back door of this elegant Phantom Extended is decorated with intricate custom stallion embroidery. Symbolizing strength and unremitting enthusiasm for progress, the embroidery of the horse is developed from a sketch and submitted to the Rolls-Royce Custom Design Group by a very clear-sighted Chinese client.

Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective has developed a new dynamic palette called "Neon Nights", each color is limited to four.

Three brightly colored hues, each inspired by the natural world, including limestone green, a nearly luminous hue that naturally exists in the Australian green tree frog Eagle Rock Red, and the flowers imitating the evergreen tree frog are native to Hawaii Trees, and Mirabeau Blue inspired by the exotic butterfly Rhetus periander from Central and South America.

The design of Wraith'Inspired By Earth' is inspired by the entire solar system and our own planet seen from space. The royal blue exterior refers to water covering 75% of the earth's surface, while the painted hood artwork depicts a satellite view of the Middle East region centered on the United Arab Emirates. The hand-painted emerald green carriage line contains the sun and the eight planets of the solar system.

The seats are made of moccasin leather to imitate the sandy beaches of the UAE desert; navy blue and cobalt blue tones are reminiscent of rivers and lakes, while the emerald green piping symbolizes various forms of nature. The "waterfall" at the rear features atmospheric clouds presented with fine embroidery using Photoflash technology. The panel is dotted with a cleverly painted satellite image of the Middle East. Bespoke Starlight Headliner embroidered with all the planets of the solar system centered on the sun. Other bespoke details include pedals, a clock with a metallic radial background, and inlays showing planets in silver and highlighting the earth in gold.

The Wraith Kryptos series is decorated with a code hidden in the series' customization details. Limited to 50 cars, customers are invited to decode the information in the custom elements inside and outside the car.

The green enamel carving detail on the Ecstatic Soul statue depicts the word KRYPTOS in code form. In addition to the translation of the embroidered double R on the headrest, these seven deciphered characters will help customers begin their journey of discovery as they begin to recognize these letters on the silk-screen printed metal panels of Wraith Kryptos.

Wraith Kryptos's custom appearance color is composed of pure anthracite base color and blue and green mica flakes. Inside, custom Kryptos green leather contrasts with Selby gray or anthracite. The exquisite two-tone canopy depicts patterns inspired by dynamic data streams, which are accentuated by illuminated door pockets.

After two years and more than 10,000 hours of Bespoke Collective development, the new Rolls-Royce Ghost's innovative "luminous dashboard" debuted. 850 stars echo the unique elegance of the Starlight Headliner.

The instrument panel uses 152 LEDs and 90,000 laser etching points meticulously engraved on the surface of the instrument panel to achieve a real and true sense of luxury. The color of the light is carefully matched with the clock and instrument panel lights in the cabin, which will produce a flickering effect when the eyes move on the instrument panel. Extensive engineering work and three-layer composite materials ensure that the lighting panel is completely invisible when not in operation.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Gallery provides a unique opportunity for South African clients to showcase highly personal works of art from Dr. Esther Mahlangu, a world-renowned South African artist. Dr. Mahlangu is an African national icon from the Ndebele region. She is the first artist to create art in this way. The car is named "The Mahlangu Phantom" after her.

The unique commission is located in the front and center of the Phantom interior and is an amazing expression of contemporary African art. The 85-year-old artist is known for his vibrant geometric abstract paintings and murals, and his works can be found in many important museums and private collections around the world. To celebrate this unique commission, Rolls-Royce also produced an insightful film to showcase the works and cultural heritage of Esther Mahlangu.

Cullinan proved that the perfect canvas is suitable for four separate custom commissions dedicated to the legendary mountains of Russia: "Elbrus", "Krasnaya Polyana", "Golden Mountain" and "Klyuchevskaya Sopka".

The exterior tones of Iced Black Diamond, Iced Gunmetal Steel, Midnight Sapphire Blue and Premiere Silver are inspired by icy mountain peaks, complemented by the dark chrome exterior details of each Cullinan. Inside, the starlight canopy depicts a map of Russia, while the headrest is embroidered with mountain peaks. Each car’s door sill is engraved with inscriptions, naming the mountains that inspired its design and the height of the highest peaks in each region.

The Dawn Silver Bullet series uses the unique Aero Cowling and super-metal Brewster silver paint, a vibrant tribute to the epic Rolls-Royce test cars of the past.

The four-seater Rolls-Royce Drophead has been transformed into an adaptable two-seater roadster by adding an elegant Aero Cowling with steam-blasted titanium finish, enhancing the sense of speed and purpose of the Collection. The Aero Cowling windshield is limited to 50 examples worldwide, proudly displaying the name and outline of the Silver Bullet.

Two Black Badge Dawn and nine Black Badge Wraith were commissioned for the United Arab Emirates. The Sportive series has bold color combinations and technical fibers, embodying the expressive and impeccable nature of Black Badge.

As an innovative initiative of Rolls-Royce, the interior uses a technical fiber instrument panel interwoven with colorful weaves to match the vibrant exterior color combination. The hand-painted Coachlines have a unique "Sportive" pattern, while the woven leather door frame and carved Bespoke tone further add to the dynamic atmosphere of the series.

This modern Phantom was commissioned by a Texas Rolls-Royce collector and is made of Arctic White with double spur lines and double Tottenham red pinstripes, highlighting the bold interior colors.

Inside the car, Hotspur Red depicts an eye-catching scene, from lambswool floor mats, privacy curtains to luggage compartment, each surface is finished in this vibrant custom color. The "Lakeshore Aurora" gallery was designed and created by the Rolls-Royce custom collective.

For more than 100 years, Rolls-Royce Motors has continuously broken the boundaries of luxury, creating new realities both inside and outside of car design.
